This annotated bibliography is based on thirty years' research and the author's extensive collection of 4,000 books and journals, now housed at the University of Texas. It is the first major catalogue in its field to be published and forms an essential reference volume for the photo-historian, librarian, collector and dealer. It lists and comments upon some 1,200 titles in four groups: (a) general literature illustrated with original photographs; (b) photographic literature; (c) photographic journals; (d) noteworthy articles on photography appearing in the non-photographic press. There are full indexes, and 180 illustrations.
